Launch Issues
We recently launched a major update to the entire Libib Platform. We’ve updated the website, iOS App, Android App, and Kiosk app.
Below you’ll find the most common issues encountered, their current status, and possible solutions if applicable.
Apps
ISSUE: I tried to update the app and it’s not listed in the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
STATUS: Unfortunately, the platform we use to build the Libib apps has dropped support for older versions of Android. To get the latest version you must have Android 9 or higher. For iOS users you must have iOS v12 or higher. We hate not being able to provide support for everyone and will look for opportunities to expand support in the future.
UPDATE: Android 9 supported added March 6th and iOS 13.2 and lower stuck loading library/search fixed
ISSUE: I am unable to perform actions within the app. The app will not load. I get no internet errors, fetch feed errors, or errors attempting to add/view items.
RESOLVED: Please update your app. The new version of Libib requires that you have v5+ installed.
ISSUE: I’m getting an “Unknown error, please try again” when attempting to login to an Android devices
RESOLVED: We believe this has been resolved. Please let us know if you continue to have issues.
ISSUE: Manual entry in-app isn’t working as expected.
RESOLVED: This has been resolved.
Website
ISSUE: Safari Animation Issues.
STATUS: We’re actively investigating and fixing issues with Safari. We recommend Chrome or Firefox as they do not suffer from the same issues.
ISSUE: Check-in mode workflow not behaving correctly
RESOLVED: This issue is being investigated
ISSUE: CSV Import – Your file has no identifying columns
SOLUTION: Rename isbn10 should be upc_isbn10 and isbn13 should be ean_isbn13
ISSUE: The same tags are showing with mixed cases in the filter list.
RESOLVED: We believe this has been resolved for most users. If you’re still having issues let us know.
ISSUE: Sorting not working properly.
RESOLVED: This issue has been resolved.
ISSUE: CSV Import not adding items
RESOLVED: We’re actively investigating this issue.
ISSUE: Library sorting not working properly.
RESOLVED: This issue has been resolved.
ISSUE: Check-in button not responding
RESOLVED: This is not working as intended. May require you to clear your browser cache.
ISSUE: Published library redirect not working properly.
RESOLVED: The redirect is now working properly. May require you to clear your browser cache.
